Sarah Linhart

"Perfect for those that like an easy drinking red"

Sarah Linhart

From the Burge family comes a slightly unconventional Barossa red that just works, with the Merlot really softening things out nicely.

It's soft, round and bursting with plum and red fruit. Tannins are silky, the mouthfeel is so plump and full and everything is just setup for BBQ drinking.

Expert Reviews

93 Points - Sam Kim - Wine OrbitSweetly fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows dark plum, cranberry, vanilla and olive characters with subtle cedar notes. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity and fleshy mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by supple texture and polished tannins. Friendly and very tasty. At its best: now to 2024.

How's it taste?

From the Burge family comes a slightly unconventional Barossa red that just works, with the Merlot really softening things out nicely. It's soft, round and bursting with plum and red fruit. Tannins are silky, the mouthfeel is so plump and full and everything is just setup for BBQ drinking.

How was it made?

A bright vibrant wine both enticing and inviting with abundant raspberry and cassis aromas, this full bodied wine has a complex assortment of flavours and textures. Fine tannins from French oak coupled with subtle spice and chocolate ensure a wine of great length and balance.

Who made it?

There’s no better way to get to the top of your field than to learn from the best and when your dad is Grant Burge, you’ve got a pretty good start. And boy, has Trent Burge made the most of that start. Stepping out of his father’s shadow, Trent is now rightly considered one of the Barossa’s best young winemakers in his own right. A hands on winemaker who has learned his craft from the ground up, Trent is the man behind ‘Family Wine Estates’ and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with him.
