The freshest Norfolk Rise Sauvignon Blanc release and already looking healthy and bouncy. It's a proper, varietal, 'hello I'm Sauvignon Blanc' Sauv Blanc with a twist of herbs and passionfruit before a palate that works on flavour pitch rather than finesse.
Another fine wine from a winery that can do no wrong.

How's it taste?

The aroma is lemon blossom, apple, mandarin, wildflowers and stonefruit with hints of musk and mineral. A refreshing palette with flavours of lime and fresh juicy citrus, limestone minerality and a clean crisp finish. Seamless balance, mouth-watering tension and lasting concentration.

How was it made?

The Vineyard: Our vineyard is ideally situated 5km from the Southern Ocean with its cooling sea breezes moderating warm summer days. Fruit is harvested from 180 hectares of gently sloping coastal hills. Winemaking: The fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness to maintain crunchy acidity, and plenty of fruit flavours. This resulted in a lovely tropical nose and a zesty, zingy palate. Aromatic yeasts were used during a long cool ferment to maximise the lovely fruit flavours in this wine.

Who made it?

Norfolk Rise is the best kept secret of South Australia, with the vineyard in Mount Benson only planted in 2000, and the first vintage off the estate bottled in 2002. The free draining limestone soil profiles and cool maritime breezes produce wines of exceptional quality and complexity, embodying the unique and magnificent terroir of the surrounding landscape.
