Classically expressed and immediately appealing, the bouquet shows green rockmelon, feijoa, green citrus and basil characters, followed by a juicy palate that is light and bright. It is zesty and lively with plenty of tasty flavours, leading to a lengthy crisp finish. At its best: now to 2020.

How's it taste?
The wine is filled with delectable fruit flavours of passionfruit and apple with hints of kaffir lime notes. The palate presents a delicious fruit intensity and lively mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by refreshing acidity and leading to a long finish. A very tasty Sauvignon Blanc.
How was it made?
Marlborough is one of the world’s foremost winegrowing regions. Its warm days and cool clear nights create a slow ripening period bringing out the best in the vines. It is these conditions that make Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc so special. Lake Road is one of Marlborough's rising stars and with wines like this we can see why! It is a delicious tropical scented little number with layers after layer of passionfruit flavours, beautifully balanced with zesty acidity.
Who made it?
Lake Road Wines began as a partnership in the early 70's with the plan of investing in premium vineyards supplying the pioneering wine companies such as Penfolds, Corbans, Giesens and Villa Maria. As a family business, quality was always valued over quantity and through careful viticulture the vines produced many gold medals, cementing a reputation for premium wines. In the mid 2000's after more than 30 years of viticulture, winemaking was begun with the first wines under the Lake Road label released in 2008 and exported from New Zealand to Australia. The Lake Road mission is to create contemporary wines with an uncompromising view to quality, presented at price points that represent terrific value across the range. They achieve this whilst still maintaining a minimal environmental impact.
