95 Points - James Halliday - Halliday's Wine CompanionThree vineyards, 70% whole-bunch pressed to barrel with full solids, 20% destemmed with 24 hours skin contact, 10% destemmed and fermented on skins for 7 days, matured in French oak (10% new). The bouquet is complex, as too is the palate; a very interesting group of vineyards, Lower and Upper Yarra- it all works well. Tangy, and with a long life ahead.

How was it made?

A blend of three vineyards. Willowlake (cooler southern end of the Yarra Valley), Daniel's Hill (the warmer northern end) and Hall's parents vineyard (south of Healesville) which lies between the other two both in it’s geography and climate.

Predominantly fermented in older French hogsheads (300L). 70% whole-bunch pressed to barrel with full solids, 20% destemmed with 24 hours skin contact, 10% destemmed and fermented on skins for 7 days, matured in French oak (10% new).
