Yarran's Pinot Grigio is a prime example of the appeal of Grigio. It's simply freshness, writ large, with light, playful fruit flavours and an emphasis on purity. Such and enjoyable 'drink me all afternoon' vino.

How's it taste?

A delicate style showing pear and tropical fruit aromatics with a crisp, citrus fi nish. A fresh and zesty style, perfect on a warm day

How was it made?

Pinot Grigio is an Italian grape variety that thrives under the warm and dry growing conditions the local area offers. The fruit is picked in the cool of the night and pressed immediately without crushing; processed as quickly as possible when cold so any pink colour in the berry skin is not transferred to the juice.

Who made it?

Yarran Wines is a family owned and operated winery. The vineyards, winery and cellar door are all located a short distance from Yenda, NSW. Yenda is part of the Riverina region, an area that has a long tradition for winemaking dating back to 1913 and is well reknowned for producing high quality wines. Fruit has been grown on the family vineyard for 35 years. An interest to create wine from a viticultural background occurred in the late 90’s. The family business has since grown from producing a single Shiraz in 1998 to many different varietal table wines, rich fortified blends and also a classic Riverina Botrytis sweet wine style. The winemaking philosophy behind the wines has evolved over time with each vintage being finely tuned to deliver the highest quality wines to possible. Creative winemaking coupled with a strong commitment to expressing regional style has been a rewarding mix. Each vintage Yarran wines continue to be of a high standard and have gathered exciting accolades and reviews. Chief Winemaker, Sam Brewer, is always trying something a little less mainstream each year, attempting to challenge himself and deliver wines with an extra element and character to the market place.
