A bohemoth, it just needs a side of red meat to tame all that flavour and sheer weight of the impact.

Deliciously poised. Redcurrant, blackberry and boysenberry flavours float into fragrant herb and coal-like areas. It's a compact wine but it has excellent weight and impact and is, therefore, a steal.
Cimicky Trumps Shiraz, out of the Barossa, is of variable quality year on year but when it hits, it runs. It’s always worth a try. This is one of the better ones. Indeed it’s very good. It has plenty of body, plenty of blackberried flavour, it’s warm at heart but it’s itching towards richness. There’s a firmness of tannin, somewhat unusual at this price level, which helps give it a composed, complete feel.

Full bodied Shiraz with dark chocolate, red berries and round fruit, the finish expansive and full with some late, iife-affirming warmth

Within the cool stone depths of a hidden Barossa cellar a small group of generally hard-working and God-fearing pioneers once whiled away many a contended hour playing cards and drinking wine. As with the card-playing pioneers, this approachable Shiraz is by nature relaxed, warm and generous and always comes up 'Trumps'.
