Aged Hunter Valley Semillon is a truly unique gift, and what a great experience to pick up one as affordable as this McGuigan.

For years now the McGuigan team has been delivering real bargains under this label, but we don't often get to nab one that has some age on it.

Toasty, limey, honeyed and complex, it is a genuinely lovely drink of fresh fruit and lovely weight, it fully deserves all of its medals

How's it taste?

Aromas of cut grass, citrus and honey. Fresh as a daisy on the palate, the acid blends seamlessly with the aged honey and toast characters. the finish is lingering and clean

How was it made?

Each grape thrives in different conditions so we selected grapes from wine regions best suited to that variety. The Hunter valley is renowned as one of the best Semillon regions in the world. This refreshing white wine is soft and flavoursome with a hint of gosseberry and lime. A light wine when young with a clean fresh finish, but takes on a golden colour after some bottle ageing and develops delicious honey and toast characters.

Who made it?

McGuigan wines is a name synonymous with Australian wine making. Steeped in rich, Hunter Valley tradition, our wines are the product of four generations of McGuigan family wine makers who have made wine their life and demonstrate a constant and deep commitment to producing some of the finest products on the market.

Let’s face it - we all have very different wine tastes and not every wine you find will be right for you right now. That’s why I’ve put together a little selection of my favourites - wines that I’d be very happy to enjoy this weekend which are guaranteed to hit the spot.
