To the Barossa,

Consider this case an ode to your magnificent red wines. A love letter about why we love your sunny Grenache, round and chocolatey Shiraz and hearty Cabernet. Please, keep all of it going because we love it. We love the hint of spice in the Nietschke Harry GSM. Or the beautiful plummy depths of the Rolf Binder Shiraz. We love all of it, and anyone who loves rich red wines will too.

x2 2016 Lawley Farm Barossa Shiraz Cabernet: From the Burge family (Trent Burge, son of Grant, in particular), this red blend is as full bodied as you'd expect from the Barossa - a big chunky red flowing with juicy black and red fruits.

x2 2017 Family Wine Estates Regional Selection Cabernet Shiraz Merlot: From the Burge family comes a slightly unconventional Barossa red that just works, with the Merlot really softening things out nicely. It's soft, round and bursting with plum and red fruit. Tannins are silky, the mouthfeel is so plump and full and everything is just setup for BBQ drinking.

x2 2017 Rolf Binder MVV Barossa Valley Shiraz: We've loved the last few vintages of MVV, and this 2017 is even more fragrant and polished (thanks to the cool vintage). A blend of two very select parcels of fruit from Marananga and Vine Vale (hence the MVV), it's a generous Barossa red with great flavour and character.

x2 2017 Nietschke Harry Barossa Valley GSM: Harry is a beautifully balanced GSM. There is this spice and perfume, yet also powerful ripe fruit and supple tannins. If you love juicy, yet medium bodied, Barossa Grenache you'll love this.

x2 2017 Connor's Farm Barossa Shiraz: From veteran ex-Penfolds winemaker Mike Farmilo comes a juicy, berry fruited Barossa Shiraz that is just overflowing with berry fruit, overlaid with vanilla oak sweetness. It's such a classic Barossan red this, with flavour and power by the bucketload.

x2 2019 Grant Burge gb56 Shiraz: An utterly slurpable South Australian Shiraz, from the team behind Grant Burge wines. Jammed full of plump berry fruit and capped by soft tannins, it's an effortlessly generous South Australian red with so much flavour.
